77 Authors Anton Beynen Anton C. Beynen has held 7 different professorships. Currently he is part-time professor of animal nutrition at the Rajamangala University of Technology-Isan, Sakon Nakhon, Thailand. His major task now is consultant to Vobra Special Petfoods BV, Veghel, The Netherlands. In addition, he writes columns about topics in dog and cat nutrition. Anton Beynen has a M.Sc. of human nutrition (1977) and wrote a Ph.D. thesis (1981) on the regulation of fat metabolism. From 1993 to 2007 he was professor of veterinary nutrition at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht University, The Netherlands. Astrid Bosse Astrid Bosse is Area Sales Manager in the European region at J. Ret- tenmaier & Sons. Astrid graduated from the Justus-Liebig University, Germany with an agricultural engineers degree in animal sciences and received her PhD in animal nutrition in 2007. Before joining the JRS Team in 2011 Astrid worked as product manager and feed formulator for a middle sized feed company located near Cologne. Astrid started her career as apprentice in horse management and is still an active equestrian today. Hans Schenkel Hans Schenkel studied agricultural biology and holds a PhD in animal sciences from the University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart Germany. He successfully finalized his habilitation in animal nutrition and feed sciences in 1988. From 1991 until his retirement in 2015 he was head of the state laboratory of agricultural chemistry in Hohenheim. 1994 he was appointed Extraordinary Professor for animal nutrition and feed sciences there. He is member of several scientific committees and advisory boards. His special interests are trace element metabolism, undesired substances in the food chain and feed additives. © ERLING Verlag
