78 Authors Manfred Pietsch Manfred Pietsch graduated in human nutrition and holds a PhD in animal nutrition from the University of Giessen, Germany. He has worked for several feed additive suppliers. Since 2008 he is poultry application manager and head of the animal nutrition department at J. Rettenmaier & Soehne (JRS). The supplier of insoluble functional fiber to the feed industry. He has published more than 20 review articles on fiber in specialized poultry journals. Additionally he is co-author of numerous original articles that have been published in scientific journals. Gonzalo G. Mateos Gonzalo G. Mateos holds a PhDs from the University of Madrid (Animal Production), University of Barcelona (Veterinary Science) and Iowa State University (Animal Science). He worked for the feed industry both in Spain and in the USA. Currently, he is Professor of Animal Science at the University of Madrid. His main areas of research are fiber utilization in non-ruminants, nutrition and carcass quality in pigs, and nutritional ingredient evaluation. He is member of several editorial boards of international journals and works as a consultant for the animal feed industry worldwide. Thierry Gidenne Research Director at INRA, Thierry Gidenne devoted his professional activity to rabbit systems. With his team, he transmitted his experience in more than one hundred scientific articles and in many syntheses on rabbit feed and nutrition. He coordinated the writing of the book “From biology to breeding of rabbits” published by Editions Quae in December 2015. He is very involved nationally and internationally in the dissemination of knowledge on rabbit production. © ERLING Verlag
